The Ribera del Duero is blessed by a combination of terroir, microclimate and a native grape that gives superb, complex red wines. With an average altitude of 700-1,000 metres, Tempranillo (also known as Tinta del .País or Tinto Fino) produce a thin-skinned grape with refreshingly acidic fruit, which in turn makes wines that are delicious when young but also have the to capacity age into magnficent Gran Reservas.
